We work with a large number of performers both professional and whilst in training.
Our audition process is responsive to what we are working on and our primary focus is always on writers and what the material needs at any given time. The shows in the network do not have a set schedule of readings and workshops that we can audition for and cast in advance.
Some of our workshops take place in partnership with drama colleges working with their students and some early developmental work can be achieved with a creative team of Perfect Pitch, Director, Musical Director and writers and doesn't always require actors until later stages.
We therefore don't have any annual set dates for auditions but hold them if and when a show may require them.
When we are auditioning we will send out a spotlight link to all agents and also post on our twitter and facebook accounts.
Our usual castings are for workshops. These are paid at £70 a day for all creatives (including directors and MDs) and are generally ''closed' to the public or outside industry viewing. A full scale musical is often workshopped with just 8 actors so we are therefore usually seeking leading actors and strong character actors with excellent musical theatre vocals. There is often an element of improvisation required and being able to read music is an advantage.
We are also looking for actors with an interest in new writing who will invest fully in the development process and offer opinions and feedback when appropriate.
We are not currently casting for any immediate work but welcome any performers details to add to our database.
